Junie is still waiting for her fur-ever. Please share so this sweet pup can find a home.
This beautiful girl is Junie. She’s an almost three-year-old shepherd cross who has, like Kane, been a longtime resident at The Humane Society of Sedona.
Junie came to HSS last June (hence the name!) as a stray. Found wandering one of the many local hiking trails, she was wearing just a harness and collar. Finally, safe at the shelter, no one ever came to claim her.
Since then, Junie has been waiting for someone to either foster or adopt her and make her their new best friend.
She is part of the shelter’s “Hidden Gems” program for animals that need an experienced and patient person to work with them as she can be nervous at first when meeting new people. However, she is potty-trained, knows all her basic commands, and, when she warms up to you, loves to play and, as these photos testify to, is a great companion on a long hike!
She would do great in a quiet, yet active home, with a fenced yard and would do best as the only pet in the family.
Please, come down to the shelter and meet her. She would really benefit from some time in a loving and caring foster environment that could prepare her for the fur-ever home she so richly deserves.
The shelter is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
And, if Junie isn’t the dog for you, please check out the other pups at the HSS website:
