Linda’s Dog Tales: Meet Petey!

This adorable pup is Petey, an almost two year old Staffordshire Terrier mix. He’s a neutered male who came to the Humane Society of Sedona after being found in a Sedona resident’s backyard, apparently abandoned. He’s looking for his furr-ever home or, possibly,  someone willing to foster him until the right family comes along.

Still a puppy, Petey is a high energy dog and would most likely benefit from a family environment rich in activity … the perfect companion for your morning jog or for those long hikes in the red rocks.

Petey loves other dogs, but because he wants to play so much, might be a little over-excited at first. Therefore, a ‘meet and greet’ at the shelter before taking him home is highly recommended.

Petey walks nicely on a leash once his initial enthusiasm plays out and, like most pups, would benefit from basic obedience training or, possibility, agility work!

So, if you’re looking for a pup with personality plus, come on down to the shelter and meet Petey!

However, if you prefer a more sedate dog, check out our website at https://www.humanesocietyofsedona.org/HSS/petangoDogs to see all the other dogs currently available for adoption.
