A Gripping Story of a Family Crisis Gone Wrong, October 1, 2014

This is the work of a master storyteller. The narration is excellent, the pace just right to keep the reader’s attention glued to the page. There is a deep emotional feeling evident in the writing. The characters are well drawn, the interplay is full of tension, even the two daughters do their part in adding to the suspense. The narrative style is pleasingly smooth and never encumbered with unnecessary description.

The author has chosen the scene of a Maine island well for her story of a marital conflict which is played out in supernatural and terrestrial surroundings. The plot is woven in best Gothic style, reminiscent of Bram Stoker and Edgar Allen Poe – magic spells and weird noises in the night, dark forests and evil spirits, storms and lightening and demons. But is this all in the imaginations of the characters? A cover-up for murder perhaps? The onset of schizophrenia? This book answers these questions as it grips you with a story that never lets go right up to the dramatic ending.

A great story with meaning and depth. Make yourself comfortable and prepare to enjoy a book that will haunt you!
