PHONE NUMBER CORRECTION for Theo’s foster dad: (614) 406-9948MEET THEO!
Theo is a 3-1/2 year old Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua cross who is available for adoption at The Humane Society of Sedona.
Theo is currently in foster care, where he is thriving. A foster home was found for this young dog because Theo, like many others, did not adjust well to shelter life. The kennel environment can be extremely stressful and, if dogs remain unadopted for too long, they can develop behaviors that create barriers to their finding their fur-ever homes. This was the case with Theo, but HSS found him a wonderful foster home where he currently is living with his two foster parents, another dog, and, believe it or not, cats!
As you can see from the following pictures, Theo is a hiker and likes nothing better than being out on the red rock trails with his sister, Penny, and his humans.
In addition, he can also be found most afternoons at Kiwanis’ Park in the Village of Oak Creek, cavorting with his other canine friends.
One of those friends, is my dog, Chomps, and, recently, he and Theo had a play-date in Theo’s backyard. And, boy, did they play!
Theo is an active dog who is housetrained, rides well in a car, loves to go on hikes, and is very loving and affectionate toward people. He likes smaller dogs (especially the purebred Italian Greyhound trio that come to the park) and is getting used to dogs larger than himself, like my Chomps. Theo can be shy, at first, with strangers so a slow introduction, on leash, is recommended.
If you would like to meet Theo, please contact his foster family at (614) 406-9948 or by email at email@example.com.
And always remember: ADOPT AND SAVE A LIFE!
If Theo is not the dog for you, please check out the other residents at The Humane Society of Sedona. The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm and is located at: 2115 Shelby Drive, Sedona 86336. Phone: 928-282-4679.
